When we moved into the house we discovered that the TV aerial didn't work and it didn't take long to find out why. It had been mounted so that water was able to get inside and the connections had corroded.

I ordered a V10-04 log-periodic aerial* from SatCure and, for simplicity, mounted it on top of the water tank. I secured it with wires to prevent movement in the wind.

Analogue reception used to be awful but Digital reception is crystal clear - even though the aerial is pointing at a hill.

The masthead amplifier was also full of rust so I replaced that with one from SatCure.

* This aerial has been superseded by the V10-36L, which is even better.

Do impregnate the connections with silicone grease to keep moisture off. Make sure that the plastic cap is completely sealed and firmly held in place with several cable ties and/or tape.
